Professional Development

This committee provides input and assists with outreach and professional development activities, such as the coordination of the spring annual out-of-school time conference, as well as the regional summer and fall workshops for the 21CCLC network and other out-of-school time providers.

Summary: Members reviewed a list of potential keynote speakers compiled by Tara Ray Smith, provided feedback, and selected their top three choices. Tara suggested inquiring if other 21st Century grantees would be interested in pooling funds for a keynote speaker. Vic approved this idea, and HB will send an email to Directors to gauge their interest. 

June 7, 2024 Minutes and Recording
Summary: Registration for the 2024 Impact Afterschool Conference is now open. The IAA staff provided an update on the number of registered attendees, submitted proposals, and exhibitors. Committee members will review the submitted proposals to evaluate them and provide their insights. IAA staff is seeking feedback on a keynote speaker for the conference. The committee will meet in July to continue planning the Impact Afterschool Conference.
